Mentoring programme

The CACAIS 2024 mentoring programme will be a unique opportunity for faculty to learn from one another, providing a path to knowledge transfer. Faculty who are well-established in their career will share knowledge and insights and offer guidance to those with less experience.

The one-year programme will help those early in their academic careers to explore education and career possibilities and get insight into how to chart a career path and connections for their career growth.

This programme empowers mentees, especially those in the Central African region, to take control of their careers and think about their long-term goals. An academic mentor can take on any number of roles while working with their mentee, including providing advice and suggestions about future career and professional development priorities, sharing inspiration and encouragement, and creating career advancement and networking opportunities.

Meanwhile, this mentoring programme will be a unique opportunity for experienced faculty to share their knowledge with young talents who share their passion for teaching, research, or academic service and are eager to learn from their experiences

Faculty who would like to take part in this mentorship programme as a mentor or mentee should please send their requests to [email protected].
