Industry expert forum

The CACAIS 2024 Industry Expert Forum will provide a unique opportunity for faculty focusing on research, teaching, and service activities to network with industry experts on how academia can contribute to challenges faced by information systems (IS) professionals.

This half-day event (scheduled for June 6, 2024) is designed for faculty to be oriented and prepared for the opportunities and challenges of collaborating with IS professionals. Participants will spend the day with a group of leading industry experts and organizational representatives to share experiences and discuss potential collaborations between industry and academia. In particular, the overarching goals of the forum are to provide faculty with advice on how to plan and manage collaborations with non-academic partners and to offer a platform for discussion and networking. The workshop will address various topics and related choices you must make as an academic, such as applying for funding, providing consulting services, and building long-term partnerships.

Participants will be required to register for this event (registration link coming soon) so that the organizing committee can provide them with the best possible experience.

Participants must hold a PhD and occupy a faculty position in an academic institution.
